Stretching Exercises

Stretching Exercises

If you are overweight and have been inactive for a long time,
it is important to start exercising, but not over do it. Build up
to a regular routine of exercise rather than push yourself right
now.

Stretching is an excellent way to do something light, that will
warm up your muscles and exercise them lightly.

You can start with a Video like this and do well. Once you are
comfortable with stretching, then maybe step it up a bit to
walking, then move on and add other types of exercise.

Stretch Your Muscles

Stretch Your Muscles

You know, any kind of stretching is good as long as you
do not bounce, as this can lead to a muscle pull.

Try to hold a slow, steady stretches for 15 to 20 seconds,
then relax and repeat your movement. It is best to loosen up
by stretching before any exercise, especially running and
walking.

Actually, it is also a good idea to stretch each day. This
will keep you more flexible and able to be active in older
years.

If you have arthritis, Ask your fitness trainer, physical
therapist or Chiropractor to teach you stretches that focus
on potential arthritis trouble spots, such as the knees or
the lower back.
